So in the Doctor Who novels the Eighth Doctor has a companion named Fitz Kreiner, who reminds me very strongly of Jack at times. In fact, if Jack and Jamie did the fusion dance the result would probably look quite a bit like Fitz, which explains a lot about why I like him so much. We watched the first episode of "The Time Meddler" last night and the Doctor gets off this fantastic line. New companion Steven (who, frankly, so far has a crippling case of Too Dumb to Live) exits the TARDIS and picks up a discarded helmet. Dad and I started talking baseball on the ride home and who we're rooting for now that the Yankees are out (other than "whoever's playing Boston," obviously:); he's rooting for the Cubs because of Lou Pinella, whereas I want the Dodgers to go all the way.
